Caring for your Copper Jewelry
How to Clean Copper Jewelry
Copper oxidation occurs naturally as it is exposed to the air. To care for your copper jewelry and limit the amount of oxidation or tarnishing of your jewelry you can use a jewelry cloth or you can clean your jewelry with soapy water and a toothbrush or a soft cloth when it begins to lose its shine. To clean your piece, add a few drops of mild dish soap into a container with warm water and place the jewelry piece into the water for a few minutes to soak then take the toothbrush or cloth and gently scrub the surface making sure you scrub all the crevices in the piece. Once completed, dry it off with a soft cloth. It is recommended that you store your copper jewelry in an airtight bag when you are not wearing it to limit its exposure to air.
